Just to warn everybody, this might sound like one of those dozen of threads I've made that makes me sound completely obsessed with the club. But this is actually something of real importance.
As you guys all know, I really take pride into the club and it's become something really special to me. It may not be exactly what I had visioned when it was first open, but I've come to really appreciate this place and it's members. It would really hurt me to know that upon my death, the club would wither away. I know that nothing lasts forever, but I want the club to flourish as long as possible. Even without my absence.
One of the many things that's been racing threw my mind is, who is gonna run this place when I'm gone. I know many of you think that I'll choose Cloud of course, but I sometimes doubt he would really want to run this place. Or that he would eventually get fed up and delete the club. I've also considered Rika. But apart of me feels she really wouldn't want to responsibility. But of course there is Gary. I know that Gary would do his best and would bring this place back to it's former life, but with his hectic lifestyle, I'm not even too sure he would be that wise of a choice.
After reading a few threads about admins disappearing without a trace or ones that have been confirmed dead, the immediate course of action is for one of the staff members to try to gain ownership. I doubt you guys will be able to find my obituary online. If you do that's great. Because otherwise, the ProBoards staff will try to encourage you to create a new forum and have one of the staff members take control that way. I'm just gonna tell you guys right now, I so don't want that to happen. If there really is no alternative, then I guess doing that is alright, but I just wouldn't want that to happen. So much has happened here and I wouldn't want this place to become a forgotten memory. That's why I had created a "will" so to speak. It's basically a request that ownership be transfered upon my death to Cloud. If he rejects, than to Rika. If both of you guys reject though, I've asked for this place to be deleted. I just can't see anyone running this place unless it was you two. Well, I can't forget about Gary, but I seriously don't think he wants to be bothered with running the place.
This is actually the post that I would like to be shown to the ProBoards staff if I ever end up being M.I.A. for a long period of time.
You can actually find this post in my personal board. It's called "My Message To Proboards Staff" All that would need to be done is for one of you guys to make a thread to on ProBoards support about my possible death, and the staff there should be able to help you.
I really hope you guys do this for me. It would seriously mean the world to me if the club continues to live on after my death.

Hi, my name is Christopher Gattis and I'm writing this message in concern for my forum The Misfits Club. I have always been worried about what will happen to my club when I pass away from this world, and have put much thought into who shall be my successor. I strongly doubt any member of my forum will be able to obtain a copy of my obituary or death records and that is why I'm writing this message today, January 14th 11:28 PM
I understand that the official way to transfer ownership is by a member obtaining the main admin's obituary, but like I said, I doubt any member will be able to obtain a copy. I am close friends with one of my members who knows that The Misfits Club is one of the most important things in my life. And I once told him that if I am absent for any extended period of time without making any attempts to contact him, whether it be directly on the club, or via text, he is to assume I'm dead.
I would request that ownership be transferred to the person who helped me construct the club, but ever since it's existence, he has been negligent in taking credit for his work. That is why I hereby request that all ownership rights and privileges be transferred upon my death to Matthew Collins who otherwise goes by the name of Cloud on The Misfits Club. If he is unable to accept such rights and privileges, I hereby request that the next person to receive ownership of The Misfits Club be Julia Giroux
who otherwise goes by the name of Rika on The Misfits Club. Rika was the first active member to come to the club and I feel if Cloud is unable to accept ownership, she will be an appropriate next choice. I have full confidence these two members of The Misfits Club will take care of the club in the same manner I do. I trust no one else.
If Proboards is unable to honor my request, then I ask that my forum be deleted and an e-mail be sent to each member informing them of what has happened. My club means everything to me. It may not be the most active forum, but it's a special one to me. And it would mean the world if If Cloud or Rika would take control of it for me upon my death. I just don't want my forum to be a forgotten memory.
