I have this question that I was wanting to know because of what a friend told me about catholics and what not. I just wanted to see what you guys though 1st before I post this someone else. So, my question is, do catholics hate gay people? I know, It's a stupid question, but my friend told me that they don't hate gay people, and that homosexuality is not a sin. It's funny because I've seen and herd tons of people say that catholicism and homosexuality don't mix very well. I just need someone to clear this up for me.

No they are not accepted. Although I was raised Catholic, I don't believe that at all.

Not at all. But some people take things out of context...some do hate gays...but they usually just try to avoid gays...not really preach to them...from what I have seen. I have nothing against gays, and most catholics (the younger ones) don't mind gays either.

Catholics, depends who you talk to.
Their religion, however, keeps threatening them with hell and the usual.

Catholics don't believe in hate (or so they say).
Preachers are known to try and change people to their veiws. For example, whatever they think is corrupt in you, they'll try to change it. Religious types are full of persuasive techniques... because they've been persuading people to believe in what they believe in right.
Some Catholics will accept you, others will ignore you, and some try to change you.
