When this was going on, I was at work talking to Danielle, one of the auditors of where I work at, when the lights flickered and we saw an immense flash. We were kinda startled a bit. So, when I went to break, that's when I saw the story on the news, and it was a live feed from ABC11.
This is just really tragic, and I really can't believe it happened. According to my GPS, it says that my work and the street that this happened on is 11.7 miles away. That is just too close for comfort for me. And that's perhaps why the lights flickered a bit. Also, service on my phone was down a bit, and it was only picking up at 4 or 3G signal. Not 4G, but a 4 signal or lower. So, maybe the explosion also disrupted my network somehow. I just pray nothing like this happens again. I feel sorry for the family of the person that died, and for the people who were injured. One good thing is that my job provided meals to the American Red Cross today. Too bad they had to pay, and there was a dispute about the price.
